DRYCLEANER ...after the wedding

• Avoid leaving the dress on a hanger, which can ruin shape, or in a plastic bag which can cause yellowing
• Get your gown preserved as soon as possible to ward of irreversible damage.
• Make special note of any stains and inform your cleaner.
• Until you can get your gown cleaned and stored, keep it in a dark, dry place.
• Beware of cleaners that claim to vacuum seal your gown.  Truly vacuum sealed items would look like a cold cut package.
• Qualified preservation experts use delicate cleaners and spotting agents on wedding gowns.   Avoid cleaners that use bleaching agents and harsh cleaners that will damage textiles.
• After preservation, store your dress in a dry, cool enviroment.  Avoid basements, musty attics and direct sunlight. 
• Accessories should be packed separetly to avoid discoloring your gown.
